| After Brite's trimming, we walked him, and let him loose into the field. It was a joy to watch him kick it up, and trot and canter around. The real surprise was to watch him make quick turns as he cantered. No, he's not 100%, he's months away from that, but he's showing improvement. His soles are still not concaved, but they will be. I told Bev if he's tender, to use Bute on a 3 day on, 1 day off schedule to check his tenderness. He's come a long way after two trimmings. He still has a way to go, but look at the IMPROVEMENT!!! Bev has given me the "OK" to trim Brite until we get him 100%. I will be teaching her how to maintain Brite after that point (she's about 300 miles away). Please visit monthly for updates on Brite, and if you're looking for a quality horse, please visit Bev's webpage where she has listed rescue horses available for adoption. www.brightfuturesfarm.org |
